Acts 10:20

Our challenge today!

Have you ever heard someone talking about "taking that leap of faith?" In Hebrews chapter 11 you'll find a record of many who did just that, they took a leap of faith. To follow God will require you to take a leap of faith. You will at one time be required to rise up from the place in which you are at and lay everything of this world down and take up the things of Christ’s doubting nothing and moving forward as God directs. Some people may say this is "crazy", but it is those people who have no faith in God. "It is impossible to please God without faith!" Hebrews 11:6 Peter in Acts 10 is called on to step out in faith trusting God and doubting nothing that he says. Are you ready to follow Jesus, doubting nothing? Have faith in God! He shall require you to stand in faith believing, doubting nothing!

www.souls-for-christ.com
www.believersgifts.com
www.carymcquaid.com

Souls For Christ Ministries Daily Devotions

June 26

"Wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men." Ephesians 4:8

Our challenge today!

Talk about a role reversal! Captivity was the power that has put all mankind in restraints. Because of sin we are held in captivity to our enemy, but when we meet Jesus and receive him into our hearts our captivity is made captive to Jesus Christ who is the head of all principalities, powers, and rulers of the darkness in this world. Jesus when he came down from the cross of his crucifixion, he went down into hell and captured what held us captive and when he ascended up on high he led captivity captive, and in exchange for our captivity he gave us the gift of eternal life as it reads: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 So instead of us living a life captive to Satan our enemy we now have the option to live eternal life, completely free of any bondage through Jesus Christ!
Thank God for Jesus Christ who has broken the chains that held us in slavery to sin.

Through him we are free and if the son has set you free, you are free indeed!

Souls For Christ Ministries Daily Devotions

June 25

"And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord if thou will, you can make me clean." Luke 6:12

Our challenge today!

In our travels, our daily life activities, or even close to home in our neighborhood we might run into someone that is full of disease, in fact the disease of sin is everywhere. For some who might have a reputation to protect, they might decide it best not to go near them, but Jesus not being a respecter of persons wasn't in this for his reputation. This man was seeking help! He sought Jesus, he humbled himself, he was ashamed of his condition and he desired to be cleansed and Jesus took command of the situation. Was it and is it still God's will to help someone that asks to be cleansed from his or her disease? Absolutely! Have you found yourself talking badly about something someone else has done to you? Do you know what is the true cause of most disagreements, quarrels and arguments that affect people today? The root of these is the powers that can't be seen. The root is Principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness that delight to bring you into spiritual wickedness and sin. Most people who know the actual cause of these problems would never allow them to cause divisions amongst family and friends.
These difficulties that you are having, is it possible they could be caused by spiritual problems that can't be seen? What purpose are you here for?
The Son of Man, Jesus Christ came from heaven to the earth for a purpose, his life and death and resurrection was all about this one purpose: To seek and to save the lost. Maybe this is your purpose also! Although we cannot save a soul in our own power, we can participate in this great work in which Jesus came to do by surrendering our lives unto Jesus Christ for His purpose, we can be used to win souls for the kingdom of God.You may say, "I am not responsible for another person, whether or not they believe, and in some part this is true, however we do have a responsibility towards God, and God has commanded us that we should preach the gospel, contend for the faith, love one another, and do good always. What better thing is there in life, than to see another come to Christ and what better thing is there in death, than to know that we did our part?

"And he who is wise wins souls." There is however some disparity, some parts of the world have more than enough while other parts are lacking. The parts that have more than enough rarely think about the woes that others are suffering. Why, is a question we might ask! Perhaps it is meant this way to see the reactions of those who have plenty and maybe it is to toughen by adversity those who have little. The truth is only God knows exactly why. Joshua 1:8

Our challenge today!

The Holy Bible is the book of law that God has given unto us. God's law is perfect and we are instructed here to have it in our mouth, meaning it should be on our lips and in our heart. God tells us to meditate on these commandments of his law, we are to concentrate on them and think about what God is telling us through them. The next time you are meditating on something, think about God's word. If you don't know any of God's word then open your Bible and read it. Take into your heart his words and repeat them from your mouth and then meditate on them. This is God's command to us and not his suggestions to us. Challenge yourself to quote as many of God's commandments that you can think of and ask yourself what each one means.

The old adage is "You are what you eat!" Psalm 19:7

Our challenge today!

Within the last ten years there has been a great move to remove the Ten Commandments from Court Houses and any government buildings. Why are so few people given such power to remove something that is perfect? The law of the Lord is perfect, yet the places where they practice law his commandments should not be an offense. The word of God has for many years been kept out of our School systems, yet the word of God is the Lord's testimony and his testimony makes the simple wise which is exactly what a person goes to school for! A few people have been given the power to call what is good for a nation and even the world a bad thing and have been given the power to have it removed!
God's word is true; let every man be a liar who claims it isn't!

“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul!”

Souls For Christ Ministries Daily Devotions

Wednesday

June 18, 2008

"Ye are the light of the world. At Christmas time is it wonderful to see the light displays that are around. Big cities often look amazing at night be.cause of all the lights. These lights make our world beautiful, but some other lights are used in a different way. Without some lights we would be in the dark. Lights such as traffic lights, street lights, and vehicle lights warn us of danger. In the same way your behavior as a Christian brings beauty to the world and also is used to warn others of danger, to direct them to Christ, and to advise them on righteous living.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

“Without light we would all be in darkness!”

Souls For Christ Ministries Daily Devotions

Tuesday

June 17,2008

"And when he looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand, and he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other." Mark 3:5

Our challenge today!

Have you ever met someone that is constantly trying to accuse you of a fault(s)and despite what you do to be good to them, they always find fault? Jesus saw that they were finding fault with him because he healed a man on the Sabbath Day and he became angry when they were so hard in their heart towards helping someone. Despite what they thought, he did the good deed anyways! The lesson here is you can't please everyone all the time, what we must do is find the greater good without worrying about what others might think!

The greater good is to receive Jesus. Have you been worried what others might think if you accept him? Stop worrying about what they think and come to Jesus and be made whole! The word Father has many meanings like chief, ruler, leader, or elder. It has been given as a title of respect. A Father is the author; the beginning of anything is also called the Father. If it were not for our Fathers we would not be! Today is a day that we give respect to the author of our life. Jesus is the author of our life first, and then our Fathers here on earth. The title of “Father” is applied to God as in “God the Father” Our Father who art in heaven” and so on. “Looking unto Jesus the Author and finisher of our faith.” Who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
Our Fathers have gone before us and have led the way, gave the example, made it possible, encouraged and loved us. Hebrews 6:1,2

Our challenge today!

I heard a story about a man that was confused in his life, he wondered why he kept doing the things that he no longer wanted to do. In his explanation he reported that he felt as if he was entering an elevator and desired to go to the tenth floor but every time he tried to get there the elevator stopped at the ninth floor. As he continued to analyze his procedure he found that every time he was pushing the same button, the ninth floor button. As Christians we often do this, we desire a certain thing from God but always return to the foundational teachings that we are familiar with such as repentance, baptisms, laying on of hands etc. instead of pressing past those unto perfection, instead of stepping out in faith. This passage is a word that motivates us to move on past laying these foundations over and over again and calls us to climb higher, unto putting it all into action by loving God and thy neighbor as thyself, by serving others instead of ourselves, and by stepping out in faith.

A homebuilder never stays in the basement as he builds, but he looks to put the roof on also.

Souls For Christ Ministries Daily Devotions

Friday

June 13, 2008

"But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. When a person has passion about the things of God it is often confused with pride. An example of this is Joseph and how he dreamed and told the dream to his family and he was perceived to be exalting himself over them. In gladness, with singing.

Are you downcast or doubting? Attitude is everything! And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement:" John 16:7,8

There are three works listed here that the Holy Spirit does:
1. Reprove the world of sin. (Of sin because they believe not on Jesus.)
2. Reprove the world of righteousness. (Of righteousness suggesting a judgement of how we offer grace to others.)
3. Reprove the world of Judgement. The tunes are short but they have a ring, maybe you can remember some, like "Nationwide is on your side!" That’s what they sing. Jesus can have a sound like this too! "Jesus Christ is on your side!" This is exactly what he wants you to know. He is on your side, he wants you to succeed, and it is to his glory that you do! All his promises,(which you can find them all in the Bible) are yes to you and Amen! He will never withhold from his children anything that is good for them because he is on your side! How can you tell the difference they ask? I also have met many people who say that they own a Bible but have no idea what is written it! These are the ones usually asking! Every word that is written in the Bible is true, inspired by God himself. In fact every word is God speaking directly to us. His words point out our faults, correct our ways, instruct us in all matters of life so that we may be made perfect and furnished with the wisdom to live right. The Bible, God's spoken word to us is how we can hear him speak.

Is your Bible gathering dust? It's true that God commands us to tithe 10% of our increase. Here he is describing the great benefits that you will receive when you do. It's true he does desire a willing and cheerful giver so what should we think? Well we should want to fulfill all that he asks of us! Even though this is an Old Testament verse it tells us in the New Testament that:

"Jesus didn't come to take away the law, but to fulfill it." Mathew 5:17 So what should we do? Colossians 3:1,2

To be risen with Christ is to lay down your old ways in which you lived by and take up the ways that Christ teaches us to live by. The Bible tells us that we are to set our heart on things that are in his kingdom instead of all the temptations here on earth. To do this we must Go to the cross with Jesus, go to the grave with Jesus, and then ascend with Christ by setting your mind on heaven. Affections are our hearts desires, what does your heart desire the most? To all,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I would like to take this time to announce Discipleship II, just as Discipleship I has twelve weeks of study, Discipleship II offers another twelve weeks of study that will take you into a deeper, more equipping knowledge. Many out there may be searching for a way to sharpen their witnessing and ministering skills. Here is a great way to study to show thyself approved as we are instructed to do so according to scripture. You might be wondering why free online Discipleship training. I have found that in my eighteen years as an Evangelist there are very few resources available to continue in study after the initial salvation prayer and meet and greet at the local church. So with the direction of the Lord and alot of hard work, we have begun to build, it is our hope at Souls For Christ Ministries to continue to develop these classes into an online training center that many can come to free of charge and grow in the understanding of the mysteries of God and in the gifts that God has called us to use. If you are currently studying in our Discipleship I courses, please continue on, just know that more fun training resources await you when you complete the final week. All are invited to visit our training center at http://souls-for-christ.com/page11.html In addition to the Discipleship II we have been steadily improving our Addiction Recovery classes. It is not quite finished, having about six more weeks to complete, but all are welcome to check out G.A.R.T.H. Getting Addiction Recovery Through Honesty, just below our Discipleship courses. It is our hearts desire that you are blessed and through continued training fully equipped to stand strong before the cloud of witnesses that are looking on. God bless you all!

In His Service of Love,
Brother Cary

Need Prayer?

Do you have a Prayer Request?

A part of discipleship is having compassion for people. We know that Enoch walked with God for over 300 years and many others since the beginning of creation has lived and moved and had their being walking with Christ. To understand this we have to first understand that God is spirit and those that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. We also have to understand that man is spirit too, or at least that man that man is three parts, body, soul, and spirit. Understanding who we are as we begin this walk with Jesus is vital. Jesus had selected disciples to walk with him and to learn the ways of God, but often it was difficult for them to understand because they had to mature in the things of God. Since the beginning man has had a difficult time understanding the things of God. Here we will take a look at man and how he was made and why it is difficult for man to walk with God sometimes. We begin this week in Genesis chapter one when God first created man. Pay special attention to the image and likeness in which we were first created and examine yourself asking three questions:
Whose image and likeness were we created in?
If God is spirit then how are we to be?
How close am I to his image?
Read Genesis 1:26,27 - 2:7 What questions did you have after reading this?______________________________________________________________________Answer the following questions:Whose image was man created in?How did God make man?Read Genesis 3:1-13 What questions did you have after reading this?____________________________________________________________________Read Genesis 3:1-13 What questions did you have after reading this?____________________________________________________________________Answer the following questions:Man falls, what does this do to man’s image?___________________________Read Job 5:6,7 What questions did you have after reading this?________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Answer the following questions:Trouble doesn’t come from where? ____________________________________Where does sin come from? __________________________________________Read Romans 3:10-18 What questions did you have after reading this?____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Answer the following questions:Many times what is missing from man that they fall?_________________________________________________________________Why is man’s image different without Jesus? To continue this weeks training please click on week two at the right side and you will be directed to http:www.souls-for-christ.com/page11.html
