"Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them." Acts 10:20

Our challenge today!

Have you ever heard someone talking about "taking that leap of faith?" In Hebrews chapter 11 you'll find a record of many who did just that, they took a leap of faith. To follow God will require you to take a leap of faith. You will at one time be required to rise up from the place in which you are at and lay everything of this world down and take up the things of Christ’s doubting nothing and moving forward as God directs. Some people may say this is "crazy", but it is those people who have no faith in God. "It is impossible to please God without faith!" Hebrews 11:6 Peter in Acts 10 is called on to step out in faith trusting God and doubting nothing that he says. Are you ready to follow Jesus, doubting nothing? Have faith in God! He shall require you to stand in faith believing, doubting nothing!

"Wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men." Ephesians 4:8

Our challenge today!

Talk about a role reversal! Captivity was the power that has put all mankind in restraints. Because of sin we are held in captivity to our enemy, but when we meet Jesus and receive him into our hearts our captivity is made captive to Jesus Christ who is the head of all principalities, powers, and rulers of the darkness in this world. Jesus when he came down from the cross of his crucifixion, he went down into hell and captured what held us captive and when he ascended up on high he led captivity captive, and in exchange for our captivity he gave us the gift of eternal life as it reads: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 So instead of us living a life captive to Satan our enemy we now have the option to live eternal life, completely free of any bondage through Jesus Christ!
Thank God for Jesus Christ who has broken the chains that held us in slavery to sin.

Through him we are free and if the son has set you free, you are free indeed!

"And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord if thou will, you can make me clean." Luke 6:12

Our challenge today!

In our travels, our daily life activities, or even close to home in our neighborhood we might run into someone that is full of disease, in fact the disease of sin is everywhere. For some who might have a reputation to protect, they might decide it best not to go near them, but Jesus not being a respecter of persons wasn't in this for his reputation. This man was seeking help! He sought Jesus, he humbled himself, he was ashamed of his condition and he desired to be cleansed and Jesus took command of the situation. Was it and is it still God's will to help someone that asks to be cleansed from his or her disease? Absolutely! Yes it is always God's will!
Anyone who comes to Jesus asking to be healed, he will in no wise cast him out!

Ask God to use you to help bring healing to someone today!

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12

Our challenge today!

Have you had an argument with anyone lately? Have you found yourself talking badly about something someone else has done to you? Do you know what is the true cause of most disagreements, quarrels and arguments that affect people today? The root of these is the powers that can't be seen. The root is Principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness that delight to bring you into spiritual wickedness and sin. Most people who know the actual cause of these problems would never allow them to cause divisions amongst family and friends.
These difficulties that you are having, is it possible they could be caused by spiritual problems that can't be seen? Open the word of God and ask God to put his light on these problems. Then you will see things in a different way.

"For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost!" Luke 19:10

Our challenge today!

The # 1 New York Times Best Seller, The Purpose Driven Life written by Rick Warren answers the question:
"What on earth am I here for?"
Have you thought about that question lately? What purpose are you here for?
The Son of Man, Jesus Christ came from heaven to the earth for a purpose, his life and death and resurrection was all about this one purpose: To seek and to save the lost. Maybe this is your purpose also! Although we cannot save a soul in our own power, we can participate in this great work in which Jesus came to do by surrendering our lives unto Jesus Christ for His purpose, we can be used to win souls for the kingdom of God.You may say, "I am not responsible for another person, whether or not they believe, and in some part this is true, however we do have a responsibility towards God, and God has commanded us that we should preach the gospel, contend for the faith, love one another, and do good always. What better thing is there in life, than to see another come to Christ and what better thing is there in death, than to know that we did our part?

"And he who is wise wins souls." Proverbs 11:30

"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." Psalm 37:25

Our challenge today!

Did you know there is enough wealth in the world to provide food, clothing, and shelter for everyone on earth? There is however some disparity, some parts of the world have more than enough while other parts are lacking. The parts that have more than enough rarely think about the woes that others are suffering. Why, is a question we might ask! Perhaps it is meant this way to see the reactions of those who have plenty and maybe it is to toughen by adversity those who have little. The truth is only God knows exactly why. One thing we can know for sure, it is a very rare thing for the righteous to go hungry or beg bread.

God takes care of those who trust in him!

He will never allow the righteous to be moved!

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8

Our challenge today!

The Holy Bible is the book of law that God has given unto us. God's law is perfect and we are instructed here to have it in our mouth, meaning it should be on our lips and in our heart. God tells us to meditate on these commandments of his law, we are to concentrate on them and think about what God is telling us through them. The next time you are meditating on something, think about God's word. If you don't know any of God's word then open your Bible and read it. Take into your heart his words and repeat them from your mouth and then meditate on them. This is God's command to us and not his suggestions to us. Challenge yourself to quote as many of God's commandments that you can think of and ask yourself what each one means.

The old adage is "You are what you eat!" Do you have the words of God near to you, even in your mouth? If so you will prosper and have good success in life!
